I have a D-link (802.11g/2.4GHz) wireless router which i didnt set up. Its my sisters and conected to her comp, she uses this little usb thing to connect to it. I dont want to ask her so can someoen recomend what i have to do to put wireless internet on my new computer and the cost of the usb thing. Thanks|||you can purchase a wireless usb NIC for about 50-80$.. normally the router would give you an IP address but it may also be setup as static, also you may have a problem if there is a WEPkey on the wireless network, which means u need a password or a key to connect to the network..|||If ur computer is a laptop/notebook it should have wireless lan. If you do have a laptop then go to ur task bar and look for a computer with either an x or some waves. click on it and it should show the wireless networks look for the network with the most green bars(the green bars mean how close the router is to your laptop) click on it the a popup should come up wait for about 1 minute then it should be conected.
For a desktop/computer you would need to buy the usb wireless card then hook it up to ur computer and install it. after its conected to ur computer do the same thing as for the laptop. go to the task bar ect..
