Wireless router not functioning properly, how can I get the Internet to work?

I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router (Model Number: WRT54GC) attached to a cable modem. Recently, following a visit by the cable tech for an unrelated manner, my wireless stopped working. After further investigation, I found that the internet is functional from the cable modem directly to the computer. However, once the internet enters the router, it stops working. There are components attached via wires to the router and they are not getting any internet. Also, the wireless is not working. I can't load the router's setup. I pick up a signal, but there is nothing beyond that. Both a mac and pc were perviously attached to this wireless network and functioned properly.|||bad singal or if the cable wire(the needle) ois not completely straight it can mess up internet too.

Who's ur Internet Service provider?

Ask them to do it sicne ur payign for internet.

Say this to costumer service

"The guy(Name if you kniw) who installed internet in my house it stopped working after he left. I am paying for that install fee but it did not work."

If they make you pay for another fee say

"How come? The last time the guy didn't install a working internet why should i pay for something that isn't done"

Ask to talk with their boss. If they can't do anything ask their boss. Just keep on repeating. Untl

If they still refuse.

"I hate to take this up with BBB(Better Business Bureau) or even file a lawsuit."|||i ran the program for the linksys router. everything came out okay, but when i disconnect the cable to the computer, i have no internet service, what else can i do? thanks

|||what broadband company do you have? some put your computer MAC address in the cable modem so that it will only work with a direct connection. You should be able to login to the router if it's hook up to the computer thru it's URL. Once you have logged into the router you should be able to see what's happening. Linksys has great customer service you can also try them|||can you attach it through the usb port.|||call tech support at your service provider
