How can you combine a wireless router and wired router to be on the same network?

My friend have a Linksys wireless router and it has it own network. My friend also have a wired router that has a network and he is trying to combine both into one network. He was wondering how can you combine the wireless router and the wired router into same network?|||Of course you can, it is called a "daisy chain", people do it all the time (mainly on college campuses). The linksys router has a class C IP address (192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.255) the other router probably has an IP address in the range of 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.255. From the computer you can connect to resources on either network, you will need to configure your linksys router though. the networks are in seperate subnets (but still accessable)|||It would be much easier to use something called a Wireless Access Point.





Fortunately, most modern routers can be configured through the web interface. You can set your wireless router as an "Access Point" instead of a "Router" Provide the exact model of your Linksys router and I can give you a full walkthrough.





At this point, you simply plug your router/access point into your wired network and it should work the way you'd like it to.|||The wireless router should have connections for wired network also, you could run the computers into there, or run the wired network into there, which wont work as well and will be prone to errors. On the other hand you could run the wireless network off the wired, but you will run into similar problems as running the wired off the wireless.
